Hotel in Ljubljana

Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia, and old town, that has changed a lot in the past and has also changed in the last 20 years, changing from a socialist Yugoslavia capital into a modern city. But luckily it still has a feeling of the old times, that crosses together with the new. And it leaves you enough space to breathe and enjoy the live in it.
It was dubbed The Bachelor capital of the Europe, probably because of the beautiful Slovenian women and great places, bars, cafes and discos, where you can meet them.
Arriving to Ljubljana is easy, and getting around Ljubljana even easier. The public transport, mainly buses drive regular, on time and are cheap. If you are into bicycles, you should try the Bicikelj, the public RENT-A-BIKE system. After you buy the card (called Urbana) you can use the bike for free for the first hour. The stations where you can rent a bike are densely scattered around the town, so you can drive from one to the other place, and just drop off the bike.
If you are looking for a place to sleep, try one of the many hotels in Ljubljana, you can find them cheap or fancy.

Eudc Tallinn 2008 recap

Its a couple of days since im back from the eudc, but am still writing from my phone, being at the Slovenian summer debate camp. Here are some of the final notes on the eudc 2008.

1. Food
This has been one of the biggest dissapointments. Not only was it not tasty, being hungry on a debate tournament really sux. The money that they have spent on the fancy hotel would be much better spent on more and better food.

2. Tournament
Having all the announcements on time was really a great change from what ive seen on previous eudcs.

3. Coffe
Coffe should be provided at all times. Really. Always

4. Socials
Trying something different is good but it just did not work this time. And i remember a promise on free alcohol, but a free beer at the dinner is just a bit less than i expected.

All in all it was ok, but we have seen better and look forward to eudc 2009
